weekend), gives the opportunity to use
this facility if someone wishes to climb
and descend the peak by lift.

The climbing route is non-technical.

The route enjoys a mild slope up to the
altitude of 5,000 m.

In winter, the southern face is known
(among its three other faces) as the
best to do ski on.

Transfer from Tehran to the
northern part of Tehran called
Darband – start climbing Shir
Pala shelter (2,750 m – about 2
hrs) and Tochal peak (3,964 m –
about 3.5 hrs) – O/N hut

Descend the shelter and Darband
(about 5 hrs)– then about 3 hrs
transfer to reach Pooloor
village and Damavand Base camp
called Goosfand Sara (2,900 m) –

Climb Bargah-e-Sevom shelter
(4,150 m, about 4 hrs) – O/N
